| If we feel that you are able to meet the needs of children in Tower Hamlets, we will arrange for an initial visit in your home | More Details |

| After the initial meeting, you will have time to decide whether you want to continue and we will consider whether you meet our criteria. | More Details |

| We will ask you to complete an application form, checks and references. Once these are returned to us, your assessment will begin | More Details |

| You will be allocated a social worker to carry out your assessment | More Details |

| During your assessment, your social worker will carry out a number of home visits, in order to complete your assessment report. You will also be asked attend preparation training. | More Details |

| The report is then forwarded to the Fostering Panel for approval. | More Details |

| Once approved you will be allocated a supervising social worker who will support and monitor your progress | More Details |

| You will be offered ongoing training and opportunities to meet other foster carers | More Details |
